Explorers and nature enthusiasts can explore the Baltic fjord Schlei on its marked hiking trails, during a relaxed ride with the Angelner steam train, or on water, aboard a cozy excursion steamer. After about 20 km, you'll reach the Baltic Sea. And the North Sea and Denmark are also quickly reachable at 35 km and 40 km, respectively. Here, we propose a special kind of round trip around the Schlei.

Another delightful highlight of our region are the small, lovingly run farm cafes and traditional country inns. Their regional fresh cuisine invites you to stop by and linger.

Near our hotels, the Museum in Haithabu takes you on an exciting journey back to the time of the Vikings: In addition to a spectacular exhibition, a complete Viking village has been reconstructed here - at one of the most significant settlement sites in Northern Europe. Also, just a few kilometers away lies the cultural city of Schleswig. The pearl on the Schlei entices with its cozy streets, the historic fisherman's settlement Holm, as well as the magnificent Gottorf Castle and its baroque garden.
